Day 5
Today I am thankful for the night sky. One of my favourite things to do is go outside on a clear night, and just gaze at the stars and moon. It is truly one of those sites that takes my breath away - there is no word for its beauty. It also makes me feel so small, but connected to something we will never understand. It gives me hope that out there, beyond anything we know, there are others just like us. So tonight I am thankful for the night sky, and the ability to wish upon a star :)
Day 4
Today I am thankful for soap. It seems like something odd to be thankful for, but truly, it is a blessing to all of us; it saves lives. Without soap, we would be exposed to so many more diseases and illnesses in our daily life; research has proven this time and time again. The simple act of washing our hands can prevent sickness. And how blessed are we to have soap readily available to us, when millions of people around the globe are in desperate need of it. So today, soap. Soap is what I am thankful for.

Day 3
Today, I am grateful for my husband. He is my rock. My soul mate. The one who keeps me grounded when I am feeling lost. He is my best friend. He is an amazing father to our boys. He makes me smile, and laugh, and think. I can't wait for him to come home from work each day. Every day, I feel more love for him. I am so blessed and honoured that he chose me to spend his life with.
Day 2
Today I am grateful for blankets; the ones you use to snuggle up with your little boy while watching tv or reading books; the ones that keep you toasty warm on a cold night; the ones that make the perfect fort using your kitchen table; the ones that keep your babies warm at night while they are sweetly sleeping.

Day 1
Today I am thankful for the ability to stay at home with my boys; I get to watch them grow, and change, and become the person they are going to be. This is a blessing to me, as many women are not able to do this. Although I do miss my career as a nurse, my children are my passion. My new full time job is to educate the minds and hearts of my sweet boys - and really, what better job is there in this world???
