I am in the pursuit of ongoing happiness.
In the recent years, I have been very intrigued by Buddhist spirituality, and have come to adapt many of its teachings into my life. Its message is very simplistic; the path to happiness is to live with compassion for all beings; to enjoy what you have rather than looking for happiness in objects or preferred situations; to live in the current moment and look at the beauty around you; calm your mind.
Yes, there is suffering in the world, this is acknowledged, and ironically one of the first lessons you learn in Buddhism, but there is also great joy; you just have to stop and smell the roses.
Of course, I am MOST thankful for my loving husband, two amazing little boys, my friends and my family. They truly fill my heart with joy!! But I decided to write this blog to remind myself of the small things in life - because they are so important.
I hope you enjoy reading, and in turn, are able to see more happiness as well :)
